This Privacy Policy explains how Dolsin Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“Dolsin”, “we”, “us”) processes personal information collected via https://www.dolsin.co.za (the “Website”). It does not govern the WinSMS messaging service; for that, please see the WinSMS Privacy Policy at https://www.winsms.co.za/.
1. Who is responsible for your personal information?
Dolsin Business Solutions (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2004/014687/07) is the responsible party under POPIA for Website data. Contact our Information Officer at info@dolsin.co.za or 0861 946 767.
2. What we collect
- Contact form submissions (name, email/phone, message).
- Communications you send us (emails, call notes).
- Technical data from your browser/device (IP address, pages viewed, timestamps) and limited analytics/cookies.
3. How and why we use personal information
We process personal information to: (a) respond to and manage enquiries; (b) operate, secure and improve the Website; (c) maintain records, exercise/defend legal rights, and comply with law; and (d) send administrative notices related to your enquiry.
4. Lawful bases under POPIA
We rely on lawful bases recognised by POPIA, including performance of a contract (responding to your enquiry), legitimate interests (operate, secure and improve the Website), legal obligation, and consent where required. Consent is not the only basis we rely on.

We use essential cookies to operate the Website and limited analytics to understand visits and improve content. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Sharing with service providers
We use reputable providers for hosting, email and analytics. We conduct reasonable due diligence and implement appropriate contractual/organisational safeguards. Providers process personal information only on our instructions and for lawful purposes.
7. Cross‑border transfers
If personal information is transferred outside South Africa (e.g., cloud hosting or email), we ensure compliance with POPIA section 72 (adequate protection, consent, contract, or another lawful ground).
8. Retention
We retain personal information no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required/authorised by law, and then delete or de‑identify it as soon as reasonably practicable. Routine backups are access‑restricted, used only for disaster recovery, and expire on rotation.

- Contact/enquiry records: typically up to 24 months after last interaction.
- Web server security logs: typically up to 12 months.
- Contractual/financial records (if any arise): per law (e.g., 5–7 years).
9. Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to processing, in terms of POPIA. To exercise your rights, contact our Information Officer at info@dolsin.co.za with sufficient detail to identify you and the data concerned. We will respond as soon as reasonably practicable, consistent with POPIA. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (https://inforegulator.org.za).
10. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks, including encryption in transit where feasible. No system is 100% secure and you use the Website at your own risk.
11. Children
The Website is not directed to children. Please do not submit children’s personal information via the Website.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a new version on this page. The updated version applies from the “last updated” date shown above.

This Privacy Policy covers only Website data collected via https://www.dolsin.co.za. Personal information processed via the WinSMS messaging service is governed by the WinSMS Privacy Policy and WinSMS Terms & Conditions at https://www.winsms.co.za/.
